We have been in Koh Samui a couple of days in January 2009 and wanted to go diving. Generally the diving at Koh Tao is considered better so we went there by boat with Easy-Divers.

On the first day (the 30th January 2000) Cynthia and me dived the Sail Rock. 2 dives around the rock which looks like a sail. Visibility was depending on the location between 5-20m and we did not have to go deeper than 19m. We saw a lot of fish like Angelfish, Barracuda, Parrotfish, Grouper, etc.

On the second day only Cynthia was diving because I stupidly forgot my contact lenses at the hotel and only noticed on the boat half an hour out of Koh Samui. Cry

Cynthia dived 2 dives that day. The first one was at Shark Island. Good visibility with 20m. The dive was at only 15m. There are no sharks (besides maybe some small ones). The Island got the name because of its shape.

The second dive at Auh Luk was at 11m and also with visibility around 20m. Cynthia saw a beautiful blue-dotted stingray and other nice fish.

The dive-trip was perfectly organized by Easy-Divers. Their boat is a comfortable dive-boat with three decks. The first day we were only like 12 people + divemaster, instructors, captain, etc. and it was pretty empty but even on the second day with 25+ people it was still comfortable. They also served breakfast and lunch which was very tasty. The team was very helpful and friendly. From our side a definite recommendation. Of course we lack experience with other dive-centers on Koh Samui.

More photos of the dives can be found here. All underwater photos been taken by the photographer Colin Parker who attended each dive.
